That mystery rattle took me 3 separate visits to solve

Customer brought in a 2012 F-150 with a clunk from the rear that I chased for two afternoons, swapped bushings and shocks, still there. Turns out the spare tire winch cable was loose and slapping the frame, took me a third trip and about 20 minutes of just crawling under there with a flashlight to finally spot it. Any of you ever had a noise that made you look stupid for that long?
