Brake line flaring got easier after I stopped using the cheap clamp
My first double flares kept leaking on a 2002 F-150, so I grabbed a bench-mounted flaring kit for $65 and did all four lines in under 2 hours. Has anyone else switched to a bench clamp and seen way fewer blown flares?

So your cheap clamp was the culprit huh... did the bench mount also help with getting the tube dead straight before you flare it, or was it mostly about not flexing?
