Hit 2000 paint jobs today and I'm honestly weirded out

Been spraying for about 11 years now at the same shop in Dayton. Kept a tally on a notepad in my locker since 2014, nothing fancy, just a line every time I finished a full respray or major panel job. Today I wrapped up a 2018 F150 that needed the whole driver side done and that was number 2000 on the dot. What got me is that I never felt like a veteran until I did the math. 2000 jobs, that's like 15,000 hours of sanding, masking, blending, and fighting with clear coat. I remember being terrified of my first metallic silver job back in 2015 and now I can match a pearl white in my sleep. The weird part is the number makes me feel old but the work still feels new every time. Anybody else keep a count of jobs or cars or repairs? Does the milestone actually mean anything or is it just noise?

Heard a guy on the radio once talking about how we only really notice time passing when we hit a round number, like a birthday or an anniversary. That makes sense to me. 2000 paint jobs is a hell of a lot of texture and dust in your lungs, but you probably stopped feeling each one a long time ago. The scary part isnt the number itself, it's that the number works out to more hours than some people spend at their whole careers. I mean, does the milestone mean anything? Maybe it just means you showed up a thousand times twice and kept your eye on the tape line. That counts for something.
