A change of heart on paint blending after seeing the results
I always thought blending was a waste of time and materials. Then I had a car where the repair stood out without it, and now I blend every time.

Yeah, it really is a huge deal! On some colors, especially metallics or tri-coats, you can get away with a panel paint if the match is perfect. But on most cars, even a tiny difference in color or flake will show up badly at certain angles or in sunlight. Blending into the next panel just makes that change look like a natural fade and hides the repair line completely.
