Rope winch vs electric, which one do you actually trust on a muddy trail?
I used to swear by my manual rope winch because no battery and no wiring, but after getting stuck near Lost Lake last fall and cranking for 45 minutes, I bought a cheap electric one. Now I wonder if the extra weight and cable snags are worth the speed, has anyone gone back to rope after using electric?

That 45 minute crank on Lost Lake changed my mind too, electric all the way now.
