I was dead wrong about studded tires on ice

Always thought studded tires were just a gimmick for people who couldn't drive on snow. Took my Polaris Sportsman 850 out on Lake Geneva last winter and ate shit twice before a buddy loaned me his set. After one ride across that frozen lake with ice chunks everywhere, I never went back. Anyone else here change their mind about something after actually trying it?

Man, that sounds like a rough lesson to learn the hard way. Glad you gave them a real shot and it worked out.

Hard no. That part got me too. Thought for sure they'd bail after the first real issue. Especially with how fast people ghost these days. But they stuck around and actually sorted it out. Wild how some people surprise you like that. Reminds me not to judge so quick.
