Got stuck in a bog up near Hayward last fall and it changed how I pack for trips
I was out riding my sled near the Namekagon River area and hit a patch of slush that looked solid. Sank the front end up to the handlebars in about 30 seconds. Had to wait 2 hours for a buddy with a winch to pull me out. Now I never leave without a tow strap and a small shovel strapped to the tunnel. Anyone else had to learn the hard way about what to carry on long rides?

You got a tow strap and shovel for the tunnel too? I keep a foldable saw in my pack now after I had to cut branches for an hour to get traction.

And a fire starter kit too, right? Being wet and stuck in the cold for hours will teach you quick that a phone call doesn't mean help comes fast.
