Buddy in Moab swore I didn't need a snorkel on my Renegade for creek crossings
He said the intake is high enough stock and now I'm pulling water out of my airbox after a 2-foot deep crossing last Saturday so who was right about that one?

Man, his buddy was dead wrong, I learned that same hard lesson in a muddy puddle that didn't look that deep.

Funny how we all gotta learn that one the hard way, I guess. Pulled a classic move myself stepping into a puddle that looked like it was maybe ankle-deep... turned out to be a full-on sinkhole situation. Walked around the rest of the day with one wet sock and a bruised ego. Least I didn't lose my keys in there like some folks do.
