Used to chase clear skies for hours, now I just check the smoke forecast from wildfires first
Drove 3 hours out past Bend, Oregon in 2021 for a meteor shower and got nothing but haze, so now I pull up the smoke map before I even pack the car. Does anyone else check that stuff before a session, or am I overthinking it?

Why would you waste gas without checking first? That smoke map has saved me so many pointless drives out east. Good call on making it a habit.
