PSA: My coworker insisted I ask for a project extension, and it saved the whole thing.
I was ready to rush it out last Friday, but they said to request an extra three days from the client. The extra time let me fix a major data error I would have totally missed. Has anyone else had advice they almost ignored that turned out crucial?

Honestly, how do you even know when to push back like that? My gut always says to just get it done fast. But last month my partner told me to re-check a vendor contract before signing. I almost brushed it off, but there was a huge fee hidden in the small print. Tbh I would have been locked into a terrible deal. It makes you wonder how many mistakes we're saved from by just listening.

My gut is basically a toddler who just wants snacks and naps. It's a terrible advisor for contracts. Good thing your partner has a working brain. Those hidden fees are how they get you, like finding a spider in your shoe. Makes me want to read every single line of everything now, even a menu. Probably saved yourself a massive headache.
