My blog turnaround came from a simple ask in a forum
I was stuck with my blog getting zero reads after months of writing. I finally posted in an online group asking for harsh feedback on my style. A person there said my first sentences were dull and my points were all over the place. I fixed my next article with a clear start and one main idea. Right away, I got three times more clicks and people actually talking about it. I think hiding your work and not asking for tips is a sure way to fail. It's brave to put yourself out there and listen. That single ask made my hobby fun and successful again.

Imagine actually wanting criticism instead of hiding from it like a normal person.

Wanting criticism reminds me of when my friend asked for feedback on his terrible cooking.

My cousin asked me to read his band's demo lyrics last year and I had to tell him every song was about his breakup with Chloe from high school. It was rough but he finally wrote something new. I mean, @fisher.diana, your friend with the cooking probably needed that same kind of real talk. Getting that direct feedback is like a shock to the system but it actually works. I still don't like asking for it myself though, it makes me feel sick to my stomach.
