Artifact rights got messy on a recent field job

We found cool stuff but the landowner said it was theirs. Now I always get a signed paper before we start digging to avoid fights.

Yeah getting that signed paper first is key. Feels like half of all arguments in life are just because people didn't set the rules clearly from the start.

Ever see that desk covered in random notes? That's my brain trying to set rules. @ryan889, I'm so bad at this, my last handshake deal was for a used lawnmower and I'm pretty sure I now owe my neighbor my firstborn. Should have gotten that paper.
