Finally switched to a rope wrench after fighting with a Blake's hitch on 50 foot white oak removals for 2 years
I used to spend half my energy just adjusting my hitch cord every time I moved, but a buddy at a climbing comp in Portland showed me his setup and now I can actually focus on the cut instead of fighting my friction hitch, anyone else make the switch and find it way easier on the shoulders?

Yeah I'll admit I was skeptical at first. I thought the rope wrench was just another gadget people were hyping up. But after trying one on a big maple removal I changed my mind completely. The shoulder thing is real - you're not constantly pulling down to adjust your hitch so your upper body doesn't get as wrecked by the end of the day. It's just smoother all around and I don't miss fighting with my Blake's hitch one bit.

That "spending half my energy adjusting" part is way too real. Did you find the rope wrench made a noticeable difference on your shoulders specifically or was it more about overall flow?
