Finally pulled the trigger on a proper stump grinder rental
Had a big oak removal job in Springfield last week with a gnarly 40 inch stump left over. Renting a Vermeer SC252 for the day ran me about $350. I was sweating the cost, but it chewed through that thing in under two hours. My back is thanking me for not trying to do it by hand over a weekend. Anyone have a go-to rental spot they like better than the big national chains?

My local Ace Hardware rents them for $275 a day, which saved me a ton last fall.
