Wait, a spike? How many leaks are we talking about here? I always figured those hoses were basically bulletproof until they burst. Did a whole bunch of them just fail at the same time in your building or something? That’s kind of terrifying when you think about it, like a hidden weak spot in every home. Makes you wonder what else we all trust that’s secretly about to go wrong.

Check the date codes. Most hoses have a five year life. People forget to replace them.
