I thought he was full of it, but I tried it on the next 3 calls and 2 of them were just gunked up check valves, saved the customer about $180 each time. Now I keep a tiny bottle of hot water and a pick in my bag for exactly this. Anyone else got a "check this first" tip that sounds too easy to work?
