Can we talk about the $115 I dropped on a Supco capacitor tester that sat in my van for a year before it saved me?
I bought it on a whim at a supply house in Tulsa after a guy there swore it would pay for itself, and honestly I felt silly for a year because I just kept using my meter like always. Then last Tuesday a fridge call had me chasing a no-start for 40 minutes until I clipped it on and the cap read 18% off in about ten seconds, which turned a callback into a two-hour ticket. Do you guys actually carry a dedicated cap tester, or is that something you leave on the shelf and just ohm out the windings like normal?
