I was at a used bookstore in Portland and saw a whole shelf of old anime magazines from the 90s.

Honestly those are probably from the early 2000s, not the 90s.

Check the tags, @masona62. A lot of that stuff was definitely hitting discount racks by '98 or '99. The design cues are a dead giveaway, like the specific shade of beige plastic.

OH, look for the little barcode stickers from Kinokuniya - those are the REAL Portland imports!
