That one humid week killed my 2003 ThinkPad's keyboard twice

Last August in Richmond, Virginia we had five days straight over 90% humidity and no AC in my garage workshop. My T40's keyboard started sticking on the 'E' key, so I popped it off and cleaned the contacts. Worked for two days, then the 'R' and 'T' keys went mushy. Turns out the rubber dome under the keycap had absorbed moisture and swelled. I found a NOS keyboard on eBay for $18, but I'm wondering if anyone else runs dehumidifiers near their retro gear or just accepts the seasonal quirks. What's your setup for summer humidity and old laptops?

Dehumidifier next to the shelf of old machines, plus a few silica gel packs in the keyboard bag. The T40 still acts up in August no matter what, but it went from dying twice to being annoying once. Rubber domes just hate the south.
