Ruined 3 rolls of Portra 400 at my cousin's wedding in Boise because of one dumb mistake
I was loading film in my bathroom at the hotel before the ceremony and didn't notice the little felt lip on my changing bag had a tiny tear, so light leaked in on every roll I loaded that morning. Every single frame had this hazy streak down the right side and the lab guy in Boise quoted me $85 just to scan and look at them, which was more than the film cost. Has anyone else had a changing bag fail on them like that, and is there any way to save a roll with light leaks or am I just out the money?

Waited to see the scans before deciding they're ruined. A light leak on the edge of a frame is one thing, but a hazy streak down the right side could be anything, maybe even a shutter issue. Labs love to charge you to look at film that just needs a bit of contrast work in post. Pay the $85 and see what you actually got before you write off three rolls. Some of those wedding shots might clean up fine once you push the contrast.
