Overheard a guy at a camera swap say 'just use a hairdryer' for a stuck lens
Was at the Portland camera swap last Saturday, listening to this older guy trying to help a kid with a stuck 50mm lens on a Pentax. He swore a hairdryer on low would loosen the helicoid grease in 5 minutes. Tbh I always thought you needed proper heat tools, but I tried it on my own stuck lens at home and it worked way faster than my usual elbow grease. Anyone else use household stuff like that for sticky focus rings, or am I just asking for trouble eventually?
