That guy from the supply house swore by zip ties for all sensor wires, lost a whole panel to interference

Picked up a full DSC setup last Tuesday and the counter guy said just bundle everything with zip ties, save the conduit for commercial. Did a 4 bedroom ranch in Fresno, all Wired sensors, real clean job. Customer called next day, false alarms every hour. Dug back in, the door sensor wire ran right next to the transformer feed for 6 feet. That shop guy never mentioned separation. Moved the runs, spaced them out, no issues since. Anyone else had a supplier give bad install advice that cost you a callback?

Funny how the guy behind the counter knows a hundred product specs but misses the basics that bite you later. It's like the same pattern everywhere, people focus on the shiny new thing and forget the plain old physics underneath.
