Spent $300 on cellular backup and it saved a site in Baton Rouge

I put in a cellular dialer for a warehouse that kept losing landlines during storms, and it cost me about $300 with the antenna. Two weeks later a squirrel chewed through the phone line and the panel still texted the monitoring station fine. The customer never even knew there was an outage until I showed up the next day. That one job paid for the unit and my time to install it. I usually skip the fancy add-ons, but this one proved its worth fast. Anyone else had a cheap accessory or module that ended up carrying a whole account?

Man that is exactly the kind of luck that makes you look like a genius. I had a similar thing with a cheap wireless sensor on a freezer door at a diner, cost me maybe 80 bucks. The owner never closed it right and I got the alert at 2am, drove over and saved a whole walk-in full of food before the compressor burned out. That little thing paid for itself a hundred times over, and now every account I do with any cold storage gets one. It's funny how the small stuff you almost skip ends up being the thing that keeps the customer happy for years.
