PSA: stop telling new guys to skip the tamper loop on garage doors
Was at a house in Mesa last Tuesday finishing a panel swap and the guy training with me said to just twist the tamper wires together and move on, saves 20 minutes. I said no, wired it proper, and when the homeowner backed his truck into the door 3 weeks later the system actually caught it and called out. Had one old timer laugh at me for it but I'd rather take the extra 20 minutes than eat a callback, anyone else get pushback on this?
