PSA: I thought the foil trick on window sensors was a joke until a shop in Reno proved me wrong

Installed 14 contacts on a storefront last Tuesday and the owner swore foil tape on the gap would kill false alarms from the AC unit shaking the frame, and after two weeks of zero trips I'm a believer, so has anyone else used foil or is this a Nevada thing?
