I laughed at my supply house guy for pushing the sealed gel batteries, 8 months later I'm eating crow
Every time I walked into the counter at my supplier in Dayton I'd tell the guy those fancy sealed batteries were a waste of cash and I'd keep running the cheap ones because they worked fine for 12 hour standby. After two bad service calls in one month where the cheap cells died at hour 4 and the homeowner was standing right there watching me look like a rookie, I finally grabbed a set of the sealed ones for a panel swap off Miller Lane. How many of you have swapped a full truck over to sealed, and did your callback rate on battery faults actually drop or was it just the same?
