Heard a homeowner say wireless sensors don't need testing and I nearly lost it
Was at a walkthrough yesterday and the guy pointed at a half-assed wireless contact and said 'those just work forever, right?' Told him his smoke detector has a test button too but I bet he still uses it. Anyone else run into customers who think wireless gear is magic?

Guy sounds like he thinks batteries are powered by hope and good intentions. Reminds me of the time I had a customer who insisted their wireless sensor was "fine" because the LED was still blinking. Yeah, it was blinking the low battery code they never bothered to look up. I've learned to just bring extra 2032s to every walkthrough and change them on the spot. Saves me a callback next month when they swear the system just stopped working for no reason.
