Door sensor kept tripping for no reason

Installed a new system last week. Door sensor kept going off. Customer was getting mad. I checked the battery first. It was fine. Then I saw the magnet was off. Just a tiny gap. Moved it closer. Now it works perfect. Have you guys seen this before?

Actually had something similar with a motion detector at my buddy's place. It kept going off in his hallway like crazy, even with no one there. We spent hours checking the sensitivity and even thought it was a ghost or something. Turns out a wire had come loose inside the unit itself and was just barely touching the casing, making it freak out. What kind of sensor brand was giving you trouble?

Yeah that's a classic. Those magnets being even a little off will drive you nuts. Happens way more than it should.
