Why does nobody talk about the sheer number of fasteners on a single wing panel?
I was reading an old maintenance manual for a Cessna 172 and it mentioned a specific wing panel has over 300 rivets and bolts just for the skin attachment... that blew my mind for such a small aircraft. Found it while looking up a corrosion repair procedure last Thursday. How do you guys even keep track of inspections on all those points without missing one?

Forget counting, you just work the system. They have detailed inspection cards that break the wing into zones. You follow the card, sign it off, and don't overthink it.

Exactly, those cards are the real checklist that keeps you from missing anything.
