Second shift mechanic said torque wrenches are a suggestion, I walked out
Guy I work with at the hangar in Wichita has 14 years on me. Last Tuesday he was doing wheel bearings on a 737 without even checking the manual. Told me he's never snapped a bolt so why bother. I told the lead and he just laughed. This is how we end up with runway incidents. Am I being dramatic or should I have filed a report with the FAA?

Ha, tell me about it! I did the exact same thing last week and totally regretted it, now I'm stuck doing double the work today.
