After months of work, my old aircraft instrument panel lights up again!
I pulled this panel from a junked Piper Cherokee to fix up in my spare time. It was pretty dirty and half the lights were out. Last night, I swapped the final bulb and flipped the switch, and every gauge lit up! That clean, even glow made all the hours worth it. Just had to share with folks who get it.

Man, that clean glow must have been so satisfying. Does that old electronics smell hit you when you work on this stuff? It reminds me of being a kid and taking apart an old tube radio my grandpa had (the warm dust and ozone smell, you know). I'd just sit there wiping vacuum tubes with my shirt sleeve.

Isn't it crazy how smells work like time machines? Feels like we all have one specific smell that just throws us right back.
