Tried frozen chicken tenders from the bag vs homemade breaded strips in the air fryer...homemade crushed it by a mile
Honestly I was team frozen tenders for years because they are so easy. But last week I decided to actually bread my own chicken strips using panko and a little oil spray. The texture was so much crunchier and the chicken stayed juicy instead of that weird dry chewy texture frozen ones get. Took maybe 10 extra minutes of prep. Has anyone else made the switch and felt like it wasn't worth the effort?

Funny you mention that because I've noticed this same thing with so many store bought vs homemade things lately. Pancake mix from a box works fine but making them from scratch with a basic flour, egg, milk recipe takes like two extra minutes and tastes way better. Same with salad dressing - bottled stuff has all this weird sugar and thickeners but a quick oil and vinegar shake is way cleaner. It's like we've convinced ourselves that convenience is worth sacrificing quality but half the time the homemade version isn't even that much harder. The air fryer definitely helps cut down the effort too.

Wait, you actually breaded your own chicken strips and are questioning if it was worth it? lmao frozen tenders are basically just salty cardboard bricks compared to homemade, no contest.
