Bought a $30 air fryer cookbook and half the recipes are just oven instructions

I was at the bookstore last Tuesday and grabbed this fancy looking air fryer guide, thinking it would have new ideas. Turns out, a bunch of the pages just say 'preheat your oven to 400 degrees' and call it a day, which feels like a total rip-off. Has anyone found a good book or website that's actually full of real air fryer recipes?

Check the copyright page for the publication date. A lot of those books were rushed out when air fryers first got popular, and the recipes were just repackaged oven meals. You might have gotten one of those early cash grabs.

Hold up, that's a really unfair take. My mom's old air fryer book from like 2012 is still our go-to. Those early recipes figured out the basics, like how to get frozen fries actually crispy or cook chicken wings without drying them out. A newer book I bought last year just has weird kale chips and fancy stuff that never works right. Sometimes the simple, older stuff is better because it actually teaches you how to use the machine.
