Big debate: did that $200 AI writing tool actually help or just waste my time?

I dropped $200 on a fancy AI writing assistant 3 months ago, thinking it'd cut my blog post time in half. Some weeks it spits out gold drafts I just tweak for 10 minutes, but other days I spend more time fixing its garbage than if I wrote from scratch. The tool nails product descriptions but totally bombs on anything emotional or storytelling. Anyone else have a love/hate thing with these tools or found one that actually works consistently?

Oh man, I totally get that! I bought one of those tools last year thinking it'd save me hours, and I ended up spending an entire Saturday arguing with it about the tone of a simple newsletter. It kept suggesting things like "delve into the intricacies" when I just wanted to say "let's talk about this cool thing" ... and it took me longer to fix its fancy word choices than to just write it myself. Kinda ironic that the thing meant to save time ended up eating my whole weekend.

delve into the intricacies" lmaoo what even is that. Sounds like it was trying to write a fancy wikipedia article instead of a newsletter.
