Autocorrect turned my meeting notes into a pizza order
I use an AI transcription tool for work calls, and last Tuesday it heard our client say 'we need a vendor for the Q3 rollout' and wrote 'we need a large pepperoni and extra cheese for the Q3 rollout.' I didn't catch it until I sent the summary to my boss. He called me laughing, asking if I was serious about the 'pizza vendor.' The weird part is the tool flagged it as 'high confidence,' so the AI really thought we were ordering food. I spent 20 minutes fixing the transcript and now I double-check every summary before hitting send. Has anyone else had an AI tool just invent something wildly off like that, or is mine just broken in a funny way?

Ha! That's hilarious, I love that it flagged it as high confidence too. Mine once turned "we need to circle back on the budget" into "we need to send a barrel of turtles to the client" and I almost sent it to the whole team before I caught it. I swear these things just pick the most random word that sounds kinda similar and run with it. Now I read everything out loud before I send, even the short emails lol.
