Rant: my cousin called my AI folder "fake" while he uses a $300 action figure as a palette
So my cousin Marcus came over on Sunday for the game and saw my tablet on the counter with a midjourney picture of a heron standing in fog. He laughed and said "that's not art, that's a slot machine" then went straight to the shelf where he keeps his 96 wrestling figures arranged by weight class. I asked him if the artist at the factory hand painted every scratch on the Rock's elbow pad and he just stared at me. Later I fed the same heron prompt 12 times over dinner and each one came out different, while his figures will look the exact same until the plastic yellows. Does anyone else get called out by people whose whole collection is factory made, or is it just me?
