I was cleaning out my old hard drive and found some AI images I made back in 2021.

I compared a landscape I made with Midjourney version 2 to one I made last week with version 6. The old one had weird, melted-looking trees and the water was just a blurry mess. The new one is so detailed and coherent it looks like a photo from a hiking trip in Colorado. It really made me think, if the tool keeps getting this much better this fast, how can we say the output isn't art? Has anyone else had a moment like this that changed their mind?

My buddy showed me his old AI portraits and the new ones, and he just went quiet for a minute. It was a real gut check for him.

Seeing the same jump in quality made me stop calling it just a tool.

Yeah but gotta disagree with @uma_reed26 on this one. Still feels like a really smart tool to me, just a better one. The core thing is still the same.
