I put an AI art piece in my local coffee shop and a regular called it fake

So last month, I printed out this cool AI image I made of a neon cityscape and hung it at The Daily Grind, my local spot in Austin. I didn't say how it was made. This older guy, Mark, who's always there, loved it and asked who the artist was. When I told him it was AI, his face totally changed. He said, 'That's not real art then. No soul.' It got super awkward, and the barista had to step in. I tried to explain that I wrote the prompt and tweaked it for hours, but he just shook his head. The whole thing made me wonder if the tool you use matters more than the final picture to some people. Has anyone else had a moment like this where someone liked the art until they found out it was AI?

Can't believe he liked it until you told him.

Tell Mark the tool doesn't make the vision, @seth_green85.
