Hot take: that guy who said AI art has no soul was right after all
I used to argue with this dude on here named PixelPete who kept saying AI art just looks hollow no matter how good the prompt is. Back in March I spent like 4 hours generating a portrait that looked amazing technically, but after staring at it for a minute I felt nothing. It's like a perfect copy of a painting but missing whatever makes you stop and look. Has anyone else felt that emptiness after the initial wow factor wears off?

Yeah I was one of those people rolling my eyes at the "no soul" thing for a while. Thought it was just gatekeeping. But then I spent a solid hour staring at an AI landscape I made and realized I couldn't remember a single detail about it five minutes later. That kind of got me.
