Saw a neighbor using beach towels as attic insulation, had to step in

I was walking my dog and spotted my neighbor stuffing old beach towels into his attic vent. I explained that it's a fire hazard and doesn't actually keep heat in. He just shrugged and said it matched his coastal decor.
