Asymmetric album covers gave me ideas for my hallway gallery

I was setting up a photo wall in my hallway but it looked too neat. I looked at some old album covers with messy layouts for ideas. Copying that feel made the space way more interesting. Has anyone else used graphic design like this? I'd love to hear where you get your inspo.

What's your favorite messy cover you looked at? I tried to copy the vibe from an old Fugazi EP once, but my cutting skills are so bad it looked like a toddler attacked the mat board. My hallway just got a sad, lopsided rectangle.

Toddler attacked the mat board" is such a good way to put it. I used to hate anything that looked homemade, but stuff like that actually changed my mind. It shows someone put real time into it, you know?
