I hit 20k in revenue this year and honestly, it felt kind of empty.
I mean, I've been grinding on Upwork for about 8 months, and everyone says that's a big deal, but hitting that number just made me realize how much of it goes to taxes and fees. It didn't really change my day-to-day stress about finding the next project. Does anyone else feel like these money milestones don't actually mean you've 'made it'?

Feel that hard. Hit a number last year and my bank account barely noticed after everything came out. @nancy275, the number looks good until you do the math on what you actually keep. The grind just resets, doesn't feel like any kind of finish line. More like a brief rest stop before the next worry about work.
