A client in Denver asked me to write a 10,000 word guide on 'the history of the stapler'
He was totally serious and offered me $200 for it. I was working from a coffee shop and had to put my phone down for a minute to make sure I heard him right. Has anyone else gotten a project request that made you just stop and stare?

Wait, have you ever actually watched someone geek out about something totally ordinary though? I used to think staplers were boring until I read an article about how the first ones could only staple one piece of paper at a time, and then I spent an hour reading more. It's funny how something you take for granted can turn into a rabbit hole, you know?
