Unpopular opinion: I thought the new 'CeramShield' face shield was just marketing hype until a piece of spatter from a broken mold hit me at 1600 degrees last week.
The spatter bounced right off without even a scorch mark, so has anyone else tried these and found them worth the extra $40?

Spatter can't actually reach 1600 degrees from a broken mold, but those shields are still pretty tough.

Totally, the heat thing is a myth but those shields are no joke. Saw one take a direct hit and barely had a scratch.
