Found a bin of 90s punk CDs at a thrift store in Akron for $8 total

Picked up a stack that included Nomeansno, Screeching Weasel, and Local H but when I got home the Local H disc was actually a blank CD-R with Sharpie scribbles on it so I drove back and the lady at the counter swapped it for a different disc from the back room no questions asked, anyone else ever get burned by mislabeled thrift store finds?

That's wild they just swapped it from the back room like that. Probably had a whole stash of swapped discs they knew about.

Right, but did they actually own a second copy of every disc in the store, or were they just keeping a well organized stash of swapped out games waiting for the right trade in? I'm trying to figure out if this was like a side hustle or just straight up bad inventory management on the store's part.

A buddy of mine used to work at a movie rental place and they literally kept a box of switched out DVDs behind the counter to cover late returns. Definitely sounds like a side hustle waiting to happen if the manager wasn't paying attention.
