Showerthought: I saw my neighbor's rose bush go from a sad stick to a monster in just 8 weeks after I gave her a bag of my leftover coffee grounds.

She'd been feeding it fancy plant food for a year with no luck, but after I gave her my old coffee grounds in April, the thing exploded with blooms and is now over five feet tall, which makes me wonder what other weird kitchen scraps actually work for you guys?

Guess your neighbor's roses just needed a caffeine fix to wake up, lol. Makes me wonder if my basil plant would prefer leftover espresso shots over water. Honestly, the fanciest plant food probably feels so betrayed right now. Nature is just out here telling us to recycle our trash into plant crack.
