Honestly, the glue-down LVP jobs in Phoenix look way different now than they did five years ago.

Tbh, back around 2019, you'd see a lot of hollow spots and edge lift after the first hot summer. The adhesive formulas just couldn't handle the 115-degree heat. Now, with the newer pressure-sensitive acrylics, like the one from Roberts, the planks stay flat and tight. Has anyone else noticed a specific adhesive that's held up better in extreme heat?

Gotta wonder if we're just seeing the normal break-in period for any floor. My uncle's place has the old stuff and yeah it clicks, but it's not like the planks are coming up. Maybe we just expect too much from a floating floor in a desert. The new glue is probably better, but how much of the "problem" was just cheap installs to begin with?

Man, I feel like a walking test case for the old stuff. My own guest bathroom from 2018 sounds like a maraca when you walk on it now. That Roberts adhesive is solid though, my installer swears by it for our summers. He used some from Bostik last year on another job and that one's holding up just as well so far.
