TIL a missing closing tag on a div took me 4 hours to find
Spent all Sunday night tracking down why my forum's sidebar was shoved to the bottom. Turned out I forgot one closing div tag in a nested block of CSS. 4 hours of staring at code for one stupid character. Has anyone else wasted a whole evening on a typo like this?
Guys spending five hours and almost throwing a laptop over a typo seems a bit dramatic. People make mistakes, it happens all the time. Just fix it and move on, not everything has to be a whole crisis.
My buddy spent five hours debugging a website once. Turned out he wrote "calss" instead of "class" in a CSS selector. He was so mad he almost threw his laptop out the window.
