Stood at a trade show booth for 6 hours next to a guy who kept telling everyone bitcoin is dead
Some dude in his 50s kept cutting me off to tell people crypto was a fad, even when they asked about ETF options. Anyone else run into these gatekeepers at expos?

Oh man that is so frustrating! I had a buddy who went to a tech expo last year and he said this older guy at the booth next to him kept leaning over every time someone asked about crypto mining to say "it's all gonna crash soon" like he was some kind of prophet. My friend said he finally snapped and told the guy "man nobody asked you for your hot take" which was pretty awkward but the guy actually backed off after that. It's wild how some people think they have to ruin everyone else's experience just because they don't believe in something. Honestly those gatekeepers need to learn that tradeshows are for networking and selling not for preaching your personal opinions to strangers. Hope the rest of your event went better at least!
