Finally got a vinyl fence panel to fit right after a bad cut

Honestly, I was rushing a job last Thursday and cut a panel about an inch too short. Tbh, I was ready to trash it and order a new one, but then I thought about using a heat gun to gently warm and stretch the vinyl. I slowly heated the end and used clamps to pull it to length while it cooled. Ngl, it set perfectly and saved me a bunch of time and money.

Hearing you were ready to trash the cut panel really shows how quick we are to replace things. It happens with everything from phones to furniture, where a simple fix could save money and waste. Glad you took the time to heat and stretch it, proving repair is often worth the effort.

Honestly, isn't replacing things sometimes just easier and cheaper?

Ever try a hair dryer if you don't have a heat gun? Works in a pinch. Totally agree with @the_seth, we toss stuff way too fast. Good save on that panel.
